Wow where to start. I had to put my current story on hold because due to circumstances beyond their control my former publisher had to closed down and I had to try and figure out what I wanted to do with all the works I had currently being offered. I had some very kind, very wonderful publishers reach out to offer to take on the books but I decided to see what I could do to make them available and not have to go through that process.

So what I ddi was spin up an account with Kindle Direct Publishing - and I do know that there are better and more writer and reader friendly platforms and systems to use but having not ever done this before I decided to see what it would be like before going all in on it.

So I started with my smallest series, Jess and Dev, and I reformatted them for Ebook sales.

Rogue Wave

So then - I had to think about the paperback versions. The issue with those were - I write too much. The stories in general are too large for me to put them in one single book - though they work fine for ebooks. I have gotten a lot of requests for - for example - the second half of Rogue Wave because the first half was published.

So I had to do separate listings for the two of the three stories that would not be able to published as single paperbacks. So that is what I am working on right now and last night I was able to put up the two files for Rogue Wave.

You can only put up two paperbacks a week so these are my two for this week, next week I will put up Of Sea and Stars, which is a single book, and then the following week I will put up Partners Part 1 and 2 as I am working on splitting that.

These editions have slight differences from the previously published ones. I did not use the book files that were published, I took the last set of edits I did before I submitted them and then re-edited them and made some minor changes to try and catch any mistakes and inconsistencies but they are not as polished as the ones that were published in the past.

Once those are done I will work on getting the Dar and Kerry stories back up and that obviously is a bigger task because there are a lot more of them but I think I understand the process now and it should go a bit faster.

So this is to explain why I had to put a pause on writing on my current story, and get all of that sorted out. I also have to do an Author's page for Amazon and all that but its all a work in progress and I will just do my best for it.
